BANANA CV

The honest friend your CV needed.

AI feedback in English or Malayalam. Straight answers. No sugar-coating.

Banana CV is a free AI CV review tool for English and Malayalam speakers. Upload a PDF, DOCX or TXT file and it returns direct feedback on the words you used, the evidence you showed and the order you put them in. No account, no ATS score, no sugar-coating.

What Banana CV does

Most CV advice is either too polite to be useful or too generic to act on. Banana CV reads the extracted text of your CV and points at the lines that waste a reader's attention: duties with no outcome, skills you cannot defend, claims with no evidence and repetition that buries your strongest material. The output is a blunt second opinion, written in English or Malayalam, with concrete edits you can make before you apply. It is not a recruiter, not an applicant tracking system and not a hiring prediction. It is a fast way to see how your CV reads to someone who has no reason to be kind.

  • Finds vague duties and asks for the result instead
  • Challenges numbers you could not explain in an interview
  • Flags skills that invite a question you cannot answer
  • Points out repetition, filler and buried evidence
  • Writes the review in English or Malayalam
  • Reads PDF, DOCX and TXT files up to 5 MB
  • Keeps no account and no searchable CV library

How it works

  1. Choose the language. Pick English or Malayalam before you upload. The feedback, interface and guide follow that choice.
  2. Upload the CV. Your browser extracts the text from a PDF, DOCX or TXT file. A scanned PDF without a text layer cannot be read.
  3. Use the specific edits. Work through comments that name a sentence or claim. Keep the changes you can defend in an interview.

What it does not do

  • No ATS score. An ATS belongs to the employer, and no outside site can measure it for you.
  • No layout review. The tool sees extracted text, not fonts, columns or spacing.
  • No hiring promise. It can find preventable weaknesses; it cannot predict a decision.
  • AI can be wrong. Check every suggestion against your actual experience.

Before you upload

Remove passport or ID numbers, your full home address, referee phone numbers, salary history and health information. The tool needs the parts of your CV that show your work, skills and education, not your identity documents. The privacy page explains what is sent to the AI provider and what stays in your browser.

After the feedback

The useful comments are the ones that name a line. Replace a duty with an action and a result, add a number only if you can say where it came from, and delete a skill you would not want to be asked about. When the document is shorter and more specific, read the first ten lines and check that a stranger can tell what you do and what you want next. The CV guide turns that into a ten-minute checklist.
